Chattahoochee River NRA

Many of the Chattahoochee National Recreation areas offer accessible amenities for guest with disabilities. Restroom facilities at Johnson Ferry, Powers Island, Interstate North entrance to Cochran Shoals and Paces Mill are all accessible for those with limited mobility. The picnic shelters at Johnson Ferry are also accessible. Handicap parking spaces are designated in all paved parking lots, and all entrance fee stations located in the parking lots are accessible.

Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre

Designated seats in various locations are available at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre for guests needing special assistance. Patrons should call 800-982-2787 for accessible seating assistance. The Centre is also equipped with wheelchair accessible restrooms, ticket windows, drinking fountains, elevators, plaza ramps, and phonic ear devices. Handicapped parking is located next to the guest elevators on the entry-level of the parking deck. Drop off is also available at the front of the building.

Cobb Galleria Centre

Accessible parking is available at the main entrance of Cobb Galleria Centre and outside the East Concourse Entrance. Persons with disabilities can also be dropped off in the rotunda or outside the East Concourse Entrance for easier access to events in the Exhibition Halls. Sloped ramps are located at the main entrance and the far-left doors are wheelchair accessible. Once inside, a limited number of wheelchairs are available at the Concierge Desk free of charge, and scooters are available for rental (order in advance). Take the elevator to the second floor for exhibit hall access.

Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park

Great news! The Access Pass, a free pass that gets you into more than 400 National Parks across the USA, is available for free to all U.S Citizens or Permanent Residents who have a disability. You can get one of these passes at the visitor center at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. An asphalt road can be used for hiking or driving to the top of Kennesaw Mountain. The Park has accessible parking at all 10 lots, and the visitor center has ADA approved restrooms & drinking fountains for guests. Assisted listening devices, ASL interpreters, and Braille park brochures are all available upon request.

Six Flags Over Georgia

Six Flags Over Georgia offers an Attraction Accessibility Program designed for guests with cognitive disorders and disabilities. Guests must obtain the IBCCES Individual Accessibility Card by registering at www.accessibilitycard.org and present the card and an information sheet at the park to receive accommodations. ASL Interpreting is available if requested at least 7 days in advance. To arrange for sign language interpreting services, call (770) 739-3400 ext. 3183. Six Flags has been designated as a Certified Autism Center (CAC) from the IBCCES, and team members are undergoing the certification process. Six Flags White Water

Six Flags White Water works to safely and efficiently accommodate the needs of all guests, including individuals with disabilities. Accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests using wheelchairs or electric convenience vehicles (ECV’s) are welcome and may utilize any ticket window and designated turnstiles to enter the park. Battery recharging is also available at Guest Relations. All Pools are accessible to guests using manual wheelchairs. There are specific boarding requirements and accommodations for those using wheelchairs at each ride or attraction that can be reviewed in their complete Safety & Accessibility Guide. Written ride instructions are available upon request at the top of each ride for those with hearing disabilities.

Truist Park, Home of the Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves are excited to offer information and resources for families to ensure attending games is a comfortable and fun experience for everyone! As part of their Braves Exceptional Fans Program, the Braves team will provide a Social Storybook that illustrates what to expect when you come to a game, a sensory map, dedicated Accessible Seating Specialists on staff and more. Guests who purchase tickets through the Accessible Seating Department will receive a Welcome Kit, including a special green credential that says “Braves Exceptional Fan” with a spot for emergency contact information. Atlanta International Airport

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) strives to provide a safe, enjoyable travel experience as well as equal access for guests and passengers with disabilities and/or special needs. Travelers can call TSA Cares toll free at (855) 787-2227 72 hours prior to traveling with questions about screening policies, procedures and what to expect at the security checkpoint. Each terminal offers wheelchair accessible  restrooms. For wheelchair assistance, travelers should contact airline representatives directly. Atlanta Airport’s first multisensory room on F Concourse departure level provides a calming, supportive environment for travelers on the autism spectrum.

CobbLinc Public Transportation System

If you have a specific physical or service accessibility need, please notify CobbLinc of your requirements so that reasonable accommodations can be provided for you. When making a request, please thoroughly describe what is needed in order for you to use the service and why this assistance is necessary. Requests may be directed to (770) 528-3690, TDD: 711 or cobblinc_cs@cobbcounty.org. Cobb County residents are eligible to use the CobbLinc Paratransit Service, a curb-to-curb shared-ride service for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.
