Cobb County, Ga. – (November 17, 2021) – Cobb Travel & Tourism celebrated its 29thAnnual Meeting & Mixer with friends and partners on Tuesday, November 16 at The Brickyard in Downtown Marietta.

Each year, Cobb Travel & Tourism hosts this event to recognize the accomplishments of the organization and the hospitality community. The program included the presentation of the Cobb Travel & Tourism Spot-On Awards, the election of the slate of officers for 2022, and the launch of the third phase of Cobb’s Travel & Tourism’s reopening campaign, ‘BEyond Ready’.

“Cobb Travel & Tourism never stopped working for our community. Even through all of the challenges, CT&T innovated, thought outside the box, and went the extra mile to keep tourism at the forefront and to remain the number one industry in Cobb. As we look ahead, the forecast is bright for the tourism industry,” said Holly Quinlan, President & CEO of Cobb Travel & Tourism.

Spot-On Awards were given to partners for their outstanding support of Cobb Travel & Tourism and the Cobb Sports Alliance over the past year. The 2021 Spot-On Award winners included:

  • Attraction Partner of the Year – The Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre
  • Cobb Sports Alliance Event of the Year – Perfect Game
  • Event of the Year – North Georgia State Fair
  • Hospitality Hero – Dale Kaetzel, Six Flags Over Georgia & White Water
  • Hotel Partner of the Year – Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel & Convention Center
  • Restaurant Partner of the Year – Copeland’s of New Orleans

After the success of Cobb Travel & Tourism’s ‘Hello Again’ and ‘Cobb is Ready’ campaigns, the third and final phase of the organization’s reopening campaign, ‘BEyond Ready’, will focus on promoting business travel in Cobb County. This campaign and all of its assets will be essential as the Cobb Travel & Tourism sales team seeks to attract convention, tradeshow, corporate, group, and association business.

“As we head into 2022, the opportunities for Cobb Travel & Tourism, the Cobb Sports Alliance, and Cobb Arts VIBE are significant,” said Zach Kerns, Chairman of the Cobb Travel & Tourism Board. “The future possibilities and potential are sweet.
