Cobb County, Ga – (November 18, 2022) – Cobb Travel & Tourism celebrated its Annual Meeting & Mixer with friends and partners on Tuesday, November 15 at The Brickyard in Downtown Marietta.

Each year, Cobb Travel & Tourism hosts this event to recognize the accomplishments of the organization and the hospitality community. The program included the presentation of the Cobb Travel & Tourism Spot-On Awards, the election of the slate of officers for 2023, and the launch of Cobb Travel & Tourism’s new diversity campaign, ‘Cobbunity.’

“2022 has been an exciting year for the hospitality industry and our team. We were excited to see tourism rebound to match 2019’s numbers, and we celebrated the return of many major events,” shared Holly Quinlan, President & CEO of Cobb Travel & Tourism. “We also were excited to implement plans for our future, which includes starting a strategic planning process, further enhancing our market and sales components, and expanding our internal programming and strategy capabilities.”

The hospitality and tourism community is made up of outstanding people and companies that work both collectively and independently to serve our industry.

Spot-On Awards were given to partners for their outstanding support of Cobb Travel & Tourism and the Cobb Sports Alliance over the past year. The 2022 Spot-On Award winners include:

  • Hotel Partner of the Year – Hyatt House Atlanta/Cobb Galleria
  • Restaurant Partner of the Year – Pie Bar
  • Attraction Partner of the Year – Marietta History Center
  • Event of the Year – Bringing the Sea to the Springs Festival
  • Cobb Sports Alliance Event of the Year – The Big Peach Slam Jam Wheelchair Basketball Tournament
  • Hospitality Hero – Connie Sutherland, Marietta Gone with the Wind Museum
