Santa Claus is Coming to Cobb County, Georgia

The holiday season is in full swing and Santa is making his way through Atlanta collecting lists. We have nailed down his schedule and have created the ultimate list of Santa sightings this holiday season! Use this guide to capture sweet moments with St. Nick from Acworth to Vinings until Christmas Eve!


The city of Smyrna and the Smyrna Optimist Club have partnered to bring Santa to Aunt Fanny’s Cabin on December 5, 13 and 19 from 2-6 p.m. Donations are requested for your contactless pictures taken on the porch this year. Make sure to bring the kids, pets, and a wish list of course! No registration is needed.

Avenue East Cobb Santa


Create magical memories with your loved ones December 11 from 5-8 p.m. at The Avenue East Cobb’s tree lighting holiday event. Watch the lighting of their 18-foot Christmas Tree, enjoy a a holiday music show, and visit with Santa! The event is sponsored by East Cobb Church and no reservations are necessary. Guests must adhere to CDC guidelines during the event, maintaining six feet of distance and wearing a mask. Folding chairs are permitted.

Celebrate a safe, socially-distanced holiday season with Santa and Mrs. Claus at The Avenue West Cobb! They are bringing the Christmas spirit December 2 and 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. This year, Santa will be waiting outside, in front of The Avenue’s new 34-foot tall Christmas tree. Good boys and girls can sit in Santa’s sleigh to get their picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus!

Drop off your letter to Santa – postage not required – in person at his official Atlanta outpost! His post office at The Battery Atlanta is open Friday through Sunday, From November 27 to December 24, on Heritage Court, across the street from Wahlburgers. Bring a camera! Parents are encouraged to take photos as their kids interact with Santa. He will be stationed behind a countertop for a contactless experience. Only one family will be allowed inside at a time.

‘Tis the season! If you’re looking for a fun and festive way to celebrate the holiday season in Atlanta, look no further — Cumberland Mall is offering photos with Santa November 27 through December 25! Celebrations will look a little different this year. Face coverings for you and Santa may be required during your contactless visit. Reservations are required, so secure your spot today!

The City of Kennesaw will host a virtual tree lighting on the City’s Facebook page on Saturday, December 5, at 5 p.m. Tune in for Holiday carols, a message from Mayor Derek Easterling and the lighting of the 30 ft. tall Christmas tree. Contactless photos with Santa will be available on a first come, first serve basis at the Ben Robertson Community Center on Saturday, December 5, from 1 to 5 p.m.

Santa heads to Marietta Square on December 3 for the Christmas Tree Lighting and will be staying in his workshop at Glover Park for the remainder of the season. Schedule a visit to Santa’s Workshop on select dates in December and get your photo taken. Then visit the shops and restaurants surrounding the square for fun holiday gifts, delicious food, and hot drinks.

Santa at six flags


Six Flags Over Georgia is bringing the North Pole to Austell! There are many exciting, fun-filled holiday activities waiting at this winter wonderland. Walk through a beautiful canopy of lights, ornamented garlands, snow machines and a 20 foot Christmas tree to the Santa Photo Experience. If you’re hungry, be sure to stop by Santa’s Soup Kitchen and say hello to Mrs. Claus!

Make plans to visit with Father Christmas in Kennesaw at Town Center Mall November 20 through December 24. Santa, his helpers, and guests will be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing. A reservation is required, so be sure to get on Santa’s list!

Get ready to ring in the holiday season with Vinings’ oldest holiday tradition, the Vinings Jubilee Christmas Tree Lighting! This annual event is back December 3 from 6 to 8 p.m and free to attend (both in-person and virtually). Festivities include 1940’s style carolers, a grand entrance from Singing Santa, takeaway ornament decorating bags, and more. Safety precautions include hand sanitizing stations, mask requirements and social distancing.
