The Battery Atlanta
Anchored by Truist Park, the home of the Atlanta Braves, The Battery Atlanta is a sports and entertainment experience unlike any other. Conveniently located at the northern intersection of I-75 and I-285, the 1.5-million-square-foot mixed-use destination features a diverse blend of culinary options to please foodies and families alike. Here you can sip cocktails from some of the area’s renowned mixologists, shop for the hottest new styles at unique retailers, bowl a few games or ride a mechanical bull.
Kennesaw Mountain
Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park is a 2,965 acre National Battlefield that preserves a Civil War battleground of the Atlanta Campaign. Visitors can enjoy hiking trails, streams, horse trails, and a visitor’s center at the park.
Marietta Square
Whether you come to shop, eat or be entertained, there is something for everyone at the Marietta Square in downtown Marietta, GA. At the center of the square is Glover Park, a great place for picnics, photos and playtime. Stop in at the Welcome Center in the old train depot to pick up maps, information and restaurant advice.
Six Flags Over Georgia
Known as the “Thrill Capital of the South,” this amusement park features more than 40 rides and attractions, including The Twisted Cyclone, Pandemonium Goliath and 10 other world-class coasters!
Acworth Beach
Acworth Beach is a public beach and recreation area in Cauble Park on the north shore of Lake Acworth. visitors can enjoy a white sand beach, a roped off area for swimming, and perfect paddle boarding and kayaking conditions.
Fifth Third Bank Stadium
Fifth Third Bank Stadium, the signature athletics landmark on the Kennesaw State University campus, is a world-class, 8,300 seat facility that was completed in the spring of 2010 and has garnered national recognition as one of the premier multi-use outdoor athletics facilities in the country. It is home to Atlanta United 2, the reserve team of the Major League Soccer club Atlanta United FC. It’s also home to KSU’s football, women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse teams.
Concord Covered Bridge
The Concord Covered Bridge was built in 1872 over Nickajack Creek and has become the focus of the Concord Covered Bridge Historic Area. It has the highest traffic count of all the covered bridges in the state of Georgia. An old railroad bed, including a few bridges, in the area has been converted to a dedicated bike trail as part of the PATH Foundation’s Silver Comet Trail.
